The Horizontal Constraint forces a selected line or lines in the image to be parallel to the horizontal axis of the sketch.
<WRONG> This tool draws an arc by picking three points: the center, the start angle along the radius, and the end angle.


====Operation====
When starting the tool, the mouse pointer changes to a white cross with a red arc icon. The coordinates of the pointer are shown beside it in blue in real time.


Select a line in the sketch by clicking on it.

====Usage====


The line turns dark green.
<WRONG> * Pick points on an empty area of the 3D view, or on an existing object (auto constraints must be active in TaskView).
* Pressing {{KEY|ESC}} or clicking the right mouse button cancels the function. </WRONG>

Apply the Horizontal Constraint by clicking on the Horizontal Constraint icon [[File:https:Constraint_Horizontal.png|16px]] in the Sketcher Constraints toolbar or by selecting the Constrain horizontally menu item in the Sketcher constraints sub menu of the Sketcher menu item in the Sketcher work bench (or the Part Design menu item of the Part Design work bench).

The selected line is constrained to be parallel to the horizontal axis of the sketch. Multiple lines may be selected,

and applying the constraint as before,

they are constrained to be parallel to the sketch horizontal axis.

Description

The Horizontal Constraint forces a selected line or lines in the image to be parallel to the horizontal axis of the sketch.

Operation

Select a line in the sketch by clicking on it.

The line turns dark green.

Apply the Horizontal Constraint by clicking on the Horizontal Constraint icon File:Https:Constraint Horizontal.png in the Sketcher Constraints toolbar or by selecting the Constrain horizontally menu item in the Sketcher constraints sub menu of the Sketcher menu item in the Sketcher work bench (or the Part Design menu item of the Part Design work bench).

The selected line is constrained to be parallel to the horizontal axis of the sketch. Multiple lines may be selected,

and applying the constraint as before,

they are constrained to be parallel to the sketch horizontal axis.
