Snapping the second point of a line so that it is parallel to another line

How to use

  1. Make sure File:Snap Lock.svg Draft ToggleSnap and File:Snap Parallel.svg Snap Parallel are turned on.
  2. Choose Draft Line to draw a shape. Enter the first point.
  3. Hover the cursor over the line segment that you wish to use as reference.
  4. Move the cursor away, trying to keep the same slope as the reference line, until the snap symbol appears.
  5. Click to attach your new point.

Notes

This method can be used with Draft and Sketcher Workbench elements like lines and arcs.

This method also works for operations like Draft Move and Draft Rotate.
