| Description | Formulae can be used in many operations and in many workbenches to calculate a value. This is particularly useful when global variables have been set up (through aliases in a spreadsheet). When manually changing the placement of a part, sketch or component, the fields do not allow the use of formulae. Being able to set a placement through a formula would simplify many placement tasks. | ||||

If you access the Placement property from the Data tab for the sketch (or any other object), you can enter formulas there. |

Ah, my apologies, I was looking at the menu after the elipsis button in the placement field. Excuse me for the waste of a ticket (also, I hadn't seen the request to discuss these kinds of things on the forum before creating a ticket - I'll do that next time) |
